About me

Hi there! I am Søren Sandager Sørensen, and I am currently a postdoc at the University of Agder in Kristiansand, Norway (until 2027)! I work with grammar in interaction, language in context, and my interests also include prosody/phonetics, response tokens/interjections, and the relation between "small" and "big" units, in interaction and elsewhere. I am also into linguistic typology and theory, and I am eager to work with languages other than Danish, and other approaches than I have so far!

Earlier, I was part of the Grammar in Everyday Life (PI: Jakob Steensig) until 2023, and I wrote my PhD thesis (finished 2020) on The Prosody of Response Tokens in Danish, and I have been part of the research groups DanTIN (Danish Talk-in-Interaction) and Sounds of Language and Speech.
